First GAM: Winter Trips Report Back MCB 129 at 7pm |
posted Jan 20, 2012, 1:21 PM by EWB Virginia Tech
Our next EWB Guatemala meeting will be Tuesday, January 24th
at 7pm in ICTAS 221. Again, you'll have to call 608-769-6830 if you're late because
the doors to the building will be locked. Rich Opem and Michael Gay plan to be
available for questions about the septic system designs at this time. We will
probably break into two groups so one can discuss the gravity fed and the other
the pumped system. Everyone should bring a list of questions for Michael
and Rich.
Please also let Victoria or I know if you don't have a part
for the implementation report yet. We still need someone to research the costs
of supplies. The wastewater google doc lists who volunteered for which
tasks: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1hHvAfRIT4brBpoGmYOLzZrvB2PUDewdWJmeYmSK5nHk/edit?hl=en_US
See you all next week, and enjoy your weekend!

My name is Kara Carpenter and I am a member of the
Engineer’s Without Borders Guatemala team. As you may know, recently there have
recently been devastating landslides in Guatemala that have led to casualties
and home displacement. My team and I are trying to send over a care package of
clothing and blankets as soon as possible.
I would greatly appreciate it if you guys would donate any
old t-shirts/pants/shoes. I know not many people brought that much extra
clothing to school, but any type of donation will help even if it's just a
t-shirt.
If you would like to get involved please feel free to
contact either me (kcarp186@vt.edu)
or Kelsey Lamb (kelsey16@vt.edu)
. We would be happy to meet up with anyone to collect any donations!
